Senior Portrait Scholarship Press Release

Senior year is an exciting time for capturing memories and making plans for more, one during which senior photos sessions are nearly a rite of passage. Unfortunately, not every student is financially able to enjoy this experience. This year, though, three high school seniors from the class of ’09 will get the opportunity to “capture their best” through a portrait scholarship package offered by Eric Green Photography LLC. Each valued at more than $240, these scholarship packages are quite the prize.

To be eligible for the scholarship, download an application form from Eric Green Photography’s website, www.ericgreenphotography.com/application.pdf . The application includes a 250-word essay asking a very to-the-point question: “why do you (or the senior you’re nominating) deserve the scholarship?'' An honest and compelling answer, coupled with a financial need, is all that’s required for the chance to win.

There are so many students who deserve to shine, and Eric and Carrie Green believe this wholeheartedly. In an effort to give more of them a chance to do so, this husband and wife photography team has opened their scholarship to graduating seniors from all of the high schools in the Hampton Roads area.

The final day for application submissions is Friday, September 19th, 2008. Winners will be announced via e-mail and on the studio website by Monday, September 22nd, 2008. Applications may be submitted by students, parents, teachers or administrators.
